Thistle Gigs

The Thistle Sax Quartet are delighted to play for weddings, dinners, receptions, or functions anywhere in Scotland.

Recent engagements have included dinner music for a Military Ball,  recital appearance during Glasgow’s West End Festival and music for a private garden party.

Enjoy a little Sax Appeal this Summer

This year The Thistle returns to the luscious surroundings of Glasgow's Kibble Palace for the first a new recital series - Sax Appeal.
Entry to the events is free but they are hoping to raise money for the charity ENABLE Scotland by asking for donations on the night, hence the "appeal" part of the title - yes, we know it's an awful pun but we just couldn't resist it :-)

Each event will feature a separate programme from the quartet's extensive repertoire of classics, light jazz, ragtime and easy listening music featuring everything from Mozart to Mancini. So, if you want to enjoy some Bach by the Bougainvillea or Joplin by the Japonica, or would like to find out more about our featured charities, we'd love to see you there.

Sax Appeal at the Edinburgh Fringe

Sax Appeal from the Thistle Quartet will also be appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe.
